 Pastor Rex and Sherri Stroke first came to Without Walls Christian Center (formerly East Valley Assembly and Tempe First) over 28 years ago — after moving from Ohio in 1978. They have been married over 45 years, have 2 grown sons, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
After receiving Christ as his Savior in the summer of 1978, Pastor Rex knew that God had a ministry calling on his life. He is committed to go outside the church walls to tell others that Jesus is the only way to a changed life and heart that pleases God.
Outreach has been in the heart of the Strokes from the beginning. Their outreach has encompassed ministering to all types of bikers with the Christian Motorcyclists Association, street ministry, feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, and discipling the homeless in Tempe.
The vision of Pastor Rex is to “win the lost to Christ, disciple them, and send them out to where God has laid on his heart to minister.” Pastor Rex enjoys riding his motorcycle, camping in the pines, and most of all spending date nights with his beautiful wife Sherri.
